PEX-B BLUE TUBING 1/2" X 10'

Apollo PEX-B tubing is a high-density, cross-linked polyethylene pipe manufactured using the silane moisture-cure method for superior durability and flexibility. This 1/2-inch blue-coded tubing is specifically designed for cold-water potable distribution systems, allowing for easy identification and organized plumbing layouts. It is rated for continuous recirculation up to 140°F and is highly resistant to chlorine, corrosion, and scale buildup. The tubing is compatible with crimp, clamp, and push-to-connect fitting systems, making it versatile for residential and commercial installations. It is approved for use in concrete, under flooring, or behind wallboard and meets ASTM F876 and F877 standards.

Apollo PEX tubing is cross-linked, high-density polyethylene. The silane method, also called the "moisture cure" method, results in PEX-B, where the cross-linking is performed in a secondary post-extrusion process, producing cross-links between a cross-linking agent. The process is accelerated with heat and moisture. The cross-linked bonds are formed through silanol condensation between two grafted (VTMS) units, connecting the polyethylene chains with C-C-Si-O-SiC-C bridges. PEX tubing is for use in hot and cold potable water distribution systems. PEX tubing can also be used in "continuously recirculating" plumbing systems up to 140 deg F while maintaining chlorine resistance. The tubing may be installed in concrete, gypsum-based lightweight concrete, sand, asphalt, in or under wood flooring or behind wallboard or plaster. Size: 1/2" x 10' length. Sold per each.
