The Allied Moulded SB-2 SLIDERBOX is a 2-gang adjustable electrical outlet box designed for both new and old work residential construction. Molded from high-strength, non-metallic polycarbonate, this 42 cubic-inch box features a patented slider plate that allows for precise depth adjustment without removing mounting screws. It accommodates wall substrates from 1/2 inch to 1-3/8 inches and ceiling substrates from 1/2 inch to 1-5/32 inches, ensuring a flush finish even with non-standard wallboard thicknesses. The box includes molded-in Speed Klamps for secure cable entry and splined device holes for rapid screw installation. UL listed for 2-hour fire-resistive walls and ceilings, the SB-2 provides a reliable, code-compliant solution for versatile electrical installations.
