The Allied Moulded SB-2 SLIDERBOX is a versatile 2-gang adjustable electrical box designed for both new and old work residential construction. Engineered from high-strength polycarbonate thermoplastic, it features a unique slider plate mechanism that allows for precise depth adjustment after the wall or ceiling substrate is installed. This 42 cubic-inch box accommodates wall thicknesses from 1/2 inch to 1-3/8 inches and is UL listed for 2-hour fire-resistive wall and ceiling assemblies. Its square corner design facilitates easy cut-ins for retrofit applications, while molded-in splined device holes and Speed Klamps ensure rapid, secure installation of devices and non-metallic sheathed cables.
Molded of engineering grade non-metallic thermoplastic. Adjustable, no need to remove or relocate mounting screws to re-position the box. Slots retain slider plate and guide it in a straight motion. Internal rails guide slider plate for smooth mounting adjustability in wall substrates from 1/2 in to 1-3/8 in thick and ceiling substrates from 1/2 in to 1-5/32 in. Square corner design allows easy wall cut-in (Old work applications). Molded spline device holes for quick device screw installation. 42 cu-in volume, two 1/2 in knockouts.
